RoCo's Round Table Reading List

Below represents some of our favorite books covering various topics such as personal financial management, business management, and personal motivation.  One or more of our team members have read each of these books and we recommend them highly.  While every word in every book won't always work for every person, there is something to be learned from each book.  The books are listed in no particular order.  Enjoy!!

  • The E Myth Revisited
    Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It
    ,
    written by Michael Gerber:  Great book about general business principles.
    Must read for those suffering from business burnout.

  • The Richest Man in Babylon
    written by George S. Clason.  This book was written in 1927 and its sound personal financial management principles still ring true today.  Clever story with a strong message.

  • Rich Dad, Poor Dad
    written by Robert Kiyosaki.  Motivation for readers to start saving and investing.  Six lessons to learn from.

  • Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court
    written by John Wooden.  Presentation of the timeless wisdom and inspiration of Coach John Wooden. 

  • Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
    written by Steven Covey.  Groundbreaking bestseller since 1990 on improving personal effectiveness. 

  • The Millionaire Next Door
    written by Thomas J. Stanley.  A practical, common sense approach to building wealth.

  • Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don’t
    written by Jim Collins.  One of the most difficult tasks faced by an organization is to flourish after the original management team retires, leaves, etc….  This book is about how to do just that.

  • 80% of results: the Secret to Success by Achieving More with Less
    written by Richard Koch.  The author explains how many businesses find that 80% of results flow from just 20% of efforts.  Many eye opening truths in this book.
